Background Information: Hazbin Wiki I will be bringing over CRAU from the previous time Angel was in Song. He spent a year in Song where he roomed with Alastor and participated in the original opening of the beach through the end of the Story Eater. He still has those memories. During his time in Song, he made several relationships he wouldn't have been able to make back in Hell, but he is currently pretending that he doesn't remember due to his relationship with Alastor. While he was in Song, the two became quite close and Angel even confessed to Alastor, but Alastor never gave him a solid answer before he returned to Hell. Now that he has returned, he's embarrassed by the confession and his time spent in Hell has changed their relationship somewhat. Due to events in canon, their relationship isn't as close as it once was in Song.

Personality:
On the surface, Angel comes off as sarcastic and sassy with a crass sense of humor. He doesn’t seem to take things too seriously, defaulting to his crude humor to brush anything that flirts with being serious off. Much to the dismay of his fellow hotel roomies, Angel has no problem with being reckless in his own ways, known to be a bit of a prankster, he can be either a playful mess or easily destructive if he pleases. Angel cares deeply about his outward public image, playing hard into his overly flirtatious persona since that's what anyone ever expects from someone like him. You know, being Hell’s top porn star is tiresome work. Being born into a mafia family in New York City during the 1940s, Angel comes from a long line of “horrible people”. From what we know about his living history, he did not have a good relationship with his older brother or father due to his sexual orientation. He has always been the odd man out, the black sheep. Presumably one of the few positive relationships he had while he was alive was with his twin sister, whom we don’t know much about other than she is in Heaven. Being from the time period that he was, Angel had limited experiences exploring his true self, so when he fell to Hell…. He found a sense of odd freedom to express himself, rejecting his family’s business to go his own way. As they say however, even something good can become bad if it is excessive, which Angel fell deep in that pit getting himself wrapped up with one of the Overlords of Hell, Valentino. Being lured in by his love for drugs and dangerous men, Angel was hooked. There aren't a lot of things that scare Angel, but Valentino would be at the top of his 0list.

Though his flippant behavior may make Angel appear to be callus or jaded, he uses his porn star persona as his sword and his shield. Usually his flare for the dramatics is his way to preemptively protect himself from someone getting too close. He is not afraid to hurt someone else's feelings to spare his own. Deep down, Angel has a lot of insecurities that he self medicates himself for through drugs, alcohol, and sex. How can you feel shitty about yourself if you can feel at all? Part of him believes that he deserves all the bad things that come his way since again, he wasn’t an angel in life. Play shitty games, win shitty prizes. But the things that once gave him joy don’t have the same kick anymore. In the prequel comic, Angel has a box of adult toys under his bed that had “For Fun” crossed out to be replaced with “For Work”. Even sex, that he once found enjoyment from no longer give him pleasure. Angel is just going through the motions. Despite being extremely guarded about his personal feelings, Angel does have friends and is capable of caring for others. One of his only close friends Cherri Bomb, he would literally murder for showing that once you crack that hard outer shell, Angel can be fiercely loyal. Even with Charlie, who he has his reservations about, he hesitated to comfort her when she was upset, either if he didn’t know how to or figured he would be bad at it. Though he holds cynical views on redemption, there is a small part in him that hopes that he could be saved. Not that he would ever admit it willingly to anyone. He has been burnt before. Angel is highly suspicious of anyone who shows him kindness. In a live stream, the creator of Hazbin said that all Angel wants is a relationship that's based on mutual respect but he never expects to have one since he is in Hell. But for now, Angel has his emotional support pig, Fat Nuggets.

*Weapon Proficiency: Angel can handle weapons with ease, specifically firearms and explosives.
*Sensitivity: Angel can sense incoming storms from a mile away.
*Flexibility: Angel demonstrates some impressive flexibility as he is able to remove chains that were restraining him with ease, as well as pole dance at Valentino's club.
*Athleticism: Since Angel is based on the jumping spider, he is able to jump incredible heights.
*Retractable Arms: Angel has a third set of arms that he keeps hidden and only uses them as his last resort.
*Tommy Gun: Angel is a mafia boy and his weapon of choice is his trusty Tommy Gun (If he's allowed to have it that is)

Suitability & Plans:
Back around the horn again. This time, with style. Redemption is a major theme in Hazbin Hotel. Over the course of canon, Angel has taken major steps to getting clean and Reverein being far from most of his vices can further help him overcome the worst of them, maybe even helping him get a shot at Heaven. Plus in Reverein, he is far away from his porn star past and his contract with Valentino, meaning he has the opportunity to be more than just someone's toy. This allows him to freely become the type of person he wants to be. While it may still haunt him from time to time, it will not control him like it does in Hell.
